Preparing professionals for the conversations, questions, and complexities that cancer brings

Integrative oncology education and clinical training for acupuncturists, wellness professionals, and the organizations that support them.

People affected by cancer are already seeking care beyond the walls of the oncology clinic.

They are turning to acupuncturists, massage therapists, estheticians, fitness professionals, wellness providers, community-based organizations, and others who play an important role in their lives.

Most professionals want to help. That is not the problem. The problem is that cancer changes what help requires.

It changes the questions we need to ask, the risks we need to understand, the language we need to use, and the moments when we need to adapt, pause, refer, or collaborate.

This work is not about memorizing a list of contraindications. It is about developing judgment. It is about knowing how to bring skill, humility, and steadiness into complex moments. And it is about building a field that people affected by cancer — and the medical teams caring for them — can trust.

And trust does not happen by accident. That is why the Oncology Acupuncture Collective exists.

"For nearly two decades, I have cared for people affected by cancer and seen what becomes possible when clinical skill, compassion, and steady judgment come together.

I also know how much more support is needed.

Integrative oncology is growing quickly, and no single person, program, or institution can meet that need alone. But each of us can help build the field in the way we are called to build it.

The Oncology Acupuncture Collective is my contribution.

Through education, training, consultation, and collaboration, I am working to help more professionals feel prepared to care for people affected by cancer with greater confidence, humility, and skill.

Because people affected by cancer should not have to get lucky to find someone prepared to care for them well."

The mission

a collective effort

This work is bigger than any one of us.

If you're committed to advancing integrative oncology education and training — as a clinician,

educator, academic program, healthcare organization, or wellness leader — let's connect.

The more we share knowledge, build together, and lift this field, the farther we go.

Let's explore what's possible
